How to convert a PDF to JPG or PNG

An image of a PDF page is useful for presentations, websites, chats or social media. Indy PDF Studio exports pages to PNG and JPG right in your browser, free during the introductory period and without uploading the document.

Try it free in the editor

Step by step

  1. Open the PDF in the editor.
  2. If needed, edit the document first, rotate pages or add highlights. Each page is rendered including edits and annotations.
  3. Open the Word and more menu.
  4. Choose PNG or JPG and confirm the export. Multiple pages are saved in a ZIP file.
  5. Check the downloaded images.

PNG or JPG?

PNG is lossless and best for text, tables, charts and sharp edges. JPG creates smaller files with a slight quality loss and suits pages with photos. For readable text PNG is usually better.

Images instead of PDF

An image has no text layer, so it cannot be searched or copied. If you want to keep sending a PDF but without hidden original text, use Flattened PDF.

Back from image to text

If you have an image and need its text, open it in the editor and run OCR.
