How to merge PDF files into one

Merging PDFs is handy for job applications, invoices with attachments or scans you have page by page. In Indy PDF Studio you merge documents in your browser: files are loaded from your device and are not uploaded to a server. The feature is free during the introductory period.

Step by step

  1. Open the editor and choose Merge documents on the start screen, or use the Merge button in the top bar.
  2. Select all PDFs you want to combine into one file.
  3. Check the page order in the thumbnails on the left and move pages up or down with the arrows.
  4. Straighten rotated scans in the Page panel with Left and Right.
  5. Review the result and export the merged document as a PDF.

Page order and orientation

After merging, pages follow the order of the selected files. Change the order in the thumbnails and the orientation in the Page panel. Go through the whole document before exporting.

Merging scans and OCR

Scanned documents can be merged too. If you need searchable or copyable text in the result, run OCR on the pages.

Large files

Processing happens in your browser, so speed depends on your device. Individual files can be up to 100 MB. Very large documents are more reliable when merged in smaller parts.
