How to insert an image or logo into a PDF

A logo, photo or additional image can be part of an edited PDF. Prepare the image in a supported format and select a page with enough space. The inserted image may cover the original text; check the layout before export.

Step by step

  1. Open the PDF and go to the page where the image should be inserted.
  2. Use the image insertion tool and select the prepared file.
  3. Place the image and adjust its size so that it does not cover the necessary content.
  4. Check the aspect ratio, readability of details and any overlapping with other elements.
  5. Export a test PDF and verify the result even at normal zoom.

Sharp Logo and File Size

A small preview enlarged over half a page is usually blurry. Use a sufficiently high-quality original, but do not insert an unnecessarily large photo for a small element. Images can significantly increase the final file size.

White and Transparent Background

An image with a white background may cover the document with a rectangle. If you need transparency, prepare an image with a transparent background and check its display after insertion and export.

Image of a Signature

An inserted signature image is a visual element. It does not create a qualified or certified electronic signature and does not itself verify the authenticity of the document. For important documents, choose the appropriate method of signing.
