How to edit a PDF on your phone

For minor PDF edits, you can use a mobile browser. On a smaller screen, first check the controls on one page and save the file continuously. Large scans, OCR and translation can be significantly more demanding on a phone than on a computer.

Step by step

  1. Open Indy PDF Studio in the current mobile browser and select the PDF from the files on your phone.
  2. Zoom in on the necessary part of the page and select the tool corresponding to the edit.
  3. For a scan, set the OCR language; perform the first attempt only on one page.
  4. After editing, export the PDF and check its presence in the downloaded files on your phone.
  5. For further work, also save the OPDF project. Only close the page after verifying the saved file.

When the Phone Interrupts the Work

The mobile system may refresh or close the page due to insufficient memory. During intensive processing, do not switch unnecessarily between apps and do not expect unsaved changes to be retained. If problems continue, use a computer or a smaller document.

Downloading Translation Models

The first translation may require downloading a large language model. Check sufficient data, space and memory. Support and speed depend on the browser and device; the same performance as on a computer cannot always be achieved.

Where to Find the Result

The location depends on the system and browser settings. Look in the list of downloaded files or a file management app. Before sharing, open the specific export and verify that you are sending the correct version.
